Ethics

I have regular formal supervision in accordance with both BACP and NCPS requirements with a qualified counselling supervisor to ensure the quality of my work and that I am working in the best interests of each client. My supervisor is bound by the same confidentiality requirements and I will not reveal your name or contact details or any identifiable information about you.

I am an Accredited Member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and a Registered Member of BACP (MBACP) and I am guided and work by their code of ethical practice.

I undertake regular CPD and consult relevant research to keep my knowledge up to date.

Session content is held in the strictest confidence. There are some exceptions to this, in the event of safeguarding concerns regarding children and young people. Or where there is evidence that clients or others are at risk of serious harm. In this case I will need to break confidentiality. I will give a more detailed explanation of this in your first session.
